Lace Extension Care Instructions

General Care Information of the Hair

After initial application - NO shampooing until 2 weeks after. If you can't make an appointment to come into the salon the best place to shampoo would be in the shower. Hold your head back, letting hair flow in a back, downward motion. Also avoid soaking hairline (As possible)

Adhesive Maintenance

Your lace kit should contain:

  • Adhesive (Davlyn)
  • Lace Strips
  • Adhesive Remover
  • Skin Prep
  • Q-Tips
If any area of your lace should start to lift, makeup gets into your lace or excessive adhesive build up occurs, use your lace kit materials.

For lifting in the back area: Pin all your hair up and out of the way. Hold your head down & use your lace remover to cleanse the area of old adhesive and strips. ALSO, avoid wearing shirts with collars while doing this and for your appointment.

Once dry, use your prep strips to rid the area of oils and residue. Let the area air dry for a few seconds. Make sure your lace is out of the way & free of hanging hair.

Next, apply 1st layer of adhesive. Only apply a thin layer covering the area where the lace will lay. Usually go from the left corner to right or right to left with short sweeping strokes. Using a blow dryer set on low. Sweep air across adhesive for 1 or 2 minutes or so.

Strip Application

After adhesive has time to set, place strip over 1st layer of adhesive by peeling the blue tape up with strip attached. Press down with firmness; peel off blue backing like a band-aid
